Formed in 1997 as The BrownBaggers,
this oldtime string band moved on to play the Cajun and Celtic French
music that won them national acclaim as Bon Temps Roulez. The sound
of BTR while plenty Cajun, was mixed with Creole, Zydeco and the
flair of the Missouri French. Given it's pulsating rhythm through the
“Joie De Vivre” of oldtime Quebecois music, their sound was
accurately described by one fan as “exciting, emotional,
educational… and it still rocks!” Seemingly able to please
any type audience, their music lended itself to diverse performances
at festivals, live radio, dance halls and universities.
Eventually "BTR" decided they'd enjoy playing the music they loved
from New Orleans but some changes were necessary.
